Mujeres de Maiz OF and the Penny Drop Project

A young woman by the name of Cambria Sawyer started the Penny Drop Project a couple of years ago. Cambria wanted to help fundraise for organizations that further the advancement of women and girls.
The idea is to raise funds by covering a floor with pennies. Schools, churches and workplaces can form a chapter of the Project, choose their charity, and then work together to achieve their goal and become educated about the organization they chose. Mujeres received a message from Cambria recently as she had found us online and could see that our goals, with regard to the women in Chiapas, are in alignment with the Penny Drop Project.  When a group decides to participate, The PDP sends them a list of about 20 organizations from which they can choose.  Mujeres is now on that list!

To learn more about the PDP, go to http://pennydropproject.wordpress.com, or to their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/pennydropproject. If you would like more information, or would like to do a unique fundraiser for Mujeres, contact Cambria at pennydropproject@yahoo.com. Mujeres appreciates her very creative approach!
